Notes:		 When Thomas ap Gruffudd was born on 1 January 1415, in Carmarthenshire, Wales, his father, Gruffudd Nicolas, was 22 and his mother, Mabli ferch Maredudd Denn, was 16. He married Elizabeth Griffith about 1443, in Carmarthenshire, Wales. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 2 daughters. He died in April 1474, in Wales, at the age of 59, and was buried in Caernarfonshire, Wales.
